About Alex Silkman

Alex Silkman is the founder and managing member of Silkman Law Firm Injury & Accident Lawyer. He focuses exclusively on personal injury and wrongful death cases, with the goal of getting truly just results for accident victims and their families.

Alex founded his firm with the mission of providing personalized, one-on-one attention to every client he serves. “We are not a volume firm looking to take on hundreds of clients each month with the primary focus of resolving them all as quickly as possible so we can then concentrate on the next batch of clients that just came through the door,” he says. “Our sole focus is our client and what is best for them, and in high-volume firms, this is rarely feasible.”

This commitment to top-quality service shows in every case the firm takes on. “It does not matter if a client’s case may be worth $4,000 or $10,000,000, the approach is going to be the same. Our clients are valued, respected, and educated about their case and their options, and we will then do whatever is necessary to help them achieve the best results,” he says. “This is often a time-consuming process, but this commitment is what’s necessary for delivering great results versus mediocre ones.”

Originally from Colorado, Alex grew up in Fort Collins before moving to Salt Lake City, Utah. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Services from Westminster College in Salt Lake City. Upon graduation, he worked as a hospital administrator for a large veterinary clinic, overseeing doctors and support staff. It was here, dealing with complex HR matters involving employment law, that he became interested in being an attorney. He went on to earn his Juris Doctorate degree from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University.

While in law school, Alexander worked in a boutique law firm where he focused on civil litigation. “I began seeing firsthand just how much injustice personal injury victims faced when dealing with insurance companies,” he says. This experience shaped his passion for personal injury law, and it continues to drive him today.
“It is a true ‘underdog’ situation ─ my client going up against the billion-dollar insurance company,” he says. “I love when we are able to prevail and send the message that they’re not going push my clients around. We’re going to fight to make sure they receive a just result.”

Outside of work, Alex enjoys spending time with his family, especially watching his kids play sports. He and his wife love to travel and are working on a bucket list of places around the world they want to visit.

When he’s not cheering on his kids, Alex is an avid Denver Broncos fan. He also loves cars and enjoys talking with collectors and restorers. “Listening to someone’s story about how they were able to acquire a certain car or what it took to rebuild what was a pile of rusty metal into the work of art they’ve created is interesting to me. So I enjoy going to car shows and auctions,” he says.
